After many years living and making art while adding to the waste stream, I decided to see if I could make art while subtracting from it.

The works you see here are made of rubbish that I picked up while walking in New York, mostly in Central Park. Each sculpture also has a “shadow work”–the grass, trees, soil and flowers with this much less trash on top.
